KPMG should have advised Gunns to notify growers of new financing, class action says

A class action over the failure of six managed investment schemes for eucalyptus wood in Tasmania has accused KPMG of failing to advise forestry giant Gunns that it had to tell growers about $720 million in financing it sought in 2007.

Aurizon wins share capital dispute over $4.4B loan during 2010 float

Rail freight operator Aurizon has triumphed in a tax dispute with the ATO, with a court finding that credit for a $4.4 billion loan by the Queensland government made during an initial public offering in 2010 was share capital despite no shares being issued to the state government.

Arrium class action plaintiffs can’t delay hearing on group costs order
