Judge OKs $1.6M settlement in Romeo’s class actions but slashes law firmā€™s share

A judge has signed off on a $1.55 million settlement to resolve two underpayments class actions against supermarket chain Romeoā€™s, but has reduced the pay out to the law firm running the cases by 25 per cent, saying the firm had “no legal entitlement” to the fees.
