IBM, Western Power backpay staff more than $20M

The country’s underpayments scandal has claimed two more victims — international technology company IBM and Western Australian electricity provider Western Power, with the companies agreeing to back pay employees more than $20 million combined and saying “significant” additional back payments were still to come.

ABC owes casuals $12M in unpaid wages

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has agreed to pay 1,800 current and former casual staff $12 million in unpaid wages, following an investigation by the Fair Work Ombudsman that found some workers were paid less than minimum wage.
